2022年にLisson Gallery上海で開催されたAnish Kapoor初の個展の際の図録です。彫刻家として有名なKapoorですが、習作として長年制作されながらもほとんど公開されてこなかった絵画が近年評価されています。
図録には視覚効果だけでなく物質感と力強さをもたせたいと思い、深い黒と濃い赤の紙をベースとして意図的かつ慎重に使うよう構想しました。「スーパーコントラスト」も「ビオトープGA-FS」も、顔料のような深みのある力強さ、それでいて優雅なしなやかさをもたらしてくれました。色紙は数年で色あせることがありますが、二つの紙は今もその色合いを保っています。（Shi Yuanさん）

The brochure accompanies Anish Kapoor's first solo exhibition with Lisson Gallery Shanghai. Long celebrated as a sculptor, Kapoor has recently received acclaim for his paintings—a longstanding but previously seldom-seen strand of his practice.
In the design, our concept is to use the deep black and rich red substrates thoughtfully and carefully. We sought not only a visual effect but a sense of materiality and strength. Both substates deliver pigment-like depth-strong and yet gracefully supple. Where coloured papers often show wear after only a few years, these have withstood the test of time.(Shi Yuan)
